After the loss to Clemson it has been snow after snow after snow… Next Saturday we are getting together at Rileys Pour House in Carnegie to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. They are blocking off Main Street and will have bands, etc. We have been there a couple of times and the bar staff and owner have been really nice and it helps that the food is good too. Check out their facebook page if you have any questions about their festivities.
It’s been a while since we have seen everyone so let’s get together and have a great time. Everything starts at 10:00 AM! See y’all next Saturday.

We are back in full force at the Saloon in Mt. Lebanon folks… After the abysmal display that was the National Championship, we needed some time to lick our wounds. Last year’s LSU/Bama watch party was unbelievably fun and we got to meet up with 50+ of our closest LSU fans here in Pittsburgh. Same drill as last year, we will have the entire back corner and there will be purple and gold tableclothes on the tables that are reserved for us. Since Halloween was moved to Saturday night, the adults with kids will be there a little late… If you need to be on a separate tab, please let the waitress know ahead fo time. A big thank you to Keith at the Mt. Lebanon Saloon for welcoming us back for the game this year. Remember, this is Pittsburgh and not all people fully understand that there is a direct correlation between how loud you yell and cheer at the TV and how well the Tigers play. Let’s be loud and proud Tiger Faithful! Geaux Tigers! Beat ‘Bama
Looks like this is going to be a big test for the Tigers in the swamp… We all had a great time last weekend for the Auburn game and we have decided to have the next LSU Pittsburgh Alumni Event at the Fox and Hound on Mcknight Road. We will also be tailgating with the Florida Alumni Association of Pittsburgh… Wear your lucky shirt, hat, skirt, even underwear cause this one is going to be a battle. Let’s get a big crowd out for this game and represent ‘dem Tigers!
This weekend we will be getting together at Chris and Rebecca’s house for the Auburn game. Feel free to come over starting at 4 PM and if you want, bring a dish to share and as always… BYOB. Since we probably will have a larger crowd for this game, you might also want to bring a foldout chair if you have one. If you need directions, please email me @ LSUfan1978@gmail.com
It will also be a kid friendly tailgate as well, so feel free to bring them too. We had a high stakes game of “go-fish” at the last one.

Hello Everyone… The inaugural LSU Alumni get together went well and we finally were able to put names with faces (and email addresses) The first game get together of the season will be held at Cadillac Ranch in Robinson Township. The general manager is from Baton Rouge and he has graciously offered to have us there for the first game of the season. We will have a kid friendly game get together soon as well. Last season our numbers swelled to almost 60 at the National Championship Watch Party. Just an FYI- you do not have to be an Alum to join our group. We accept Tiger Fans of all ages and backgrounds. We even have some Pittsburgh converted Tiger fans too. Hope to see y’all out next Saturday- Geaux Tigers!
The inaugural meeting for the LSU Alumni and Fans of Pittsburgh is August 18th, 2012- E-Mail me for information and directions. We will be planning activities and get togethers for the upcoming season. We will be looking for a “Home” bar to call our own this year. It’s going to be a BYOB covered dish get together in Mt. Lebanon Come out to meet all the LSU transplants that have moved to Pittsburgh!
Every year Mt. Lebanon puts on the UltraParty that benefits different charities and organizations and this year the Pittsburgh LSU Alumni Association is proud to announce that a number of us will be volunteering on August 4th, 2012 to help out with the festivities. We are looking for volunteers who can work in shifts anywhere from 8PM to Midnight in Mt. Lebanon on Washington Rd. Primarily we are looking for people who can serve alcohol, check ID’s, or help out in general. It’s a great cause and a night where a lot of us can get together outside of Football season.
Here is the overview from the UltraParty website: ULTRAparty provides an excellent opportunity for the young (and young-at-heart) to literally party in the street, enjoying live music and refreshments in desirable and easy-to-access Uptown Mt. Lebanon. The street is closed to vehicular traffic, the stage is centrally located, and food and drink vendors are strategically placed on each side of the closed street area. Registration tables are set-up to check IDs and sell wristbands to those 21 and older. Wristbands are required to purchase alcohol.
If you would like to sign up to volunteer, then please email me at email@example.com or if you have my number then call me on my cell.
